I am a photographer based out of Bozeman, Montana and I have called the Gallatin Valley my home for over 16 years. I received my Bachelor of Fine Art in Photography from Montana State University in 1994 and as the story goes, became a wife and mom of two amazing kids soon after. Photography has always been a constant in my life, and I delighted in photographing my kids for many years. Swinging into business as a fine art portrait and wedding photographer seemed like the next step. After five years in the industry, I decided to bring my focus back to my what I love the most, creating art!
My Weathered series comes from my need to get back to line and form in relation to it's plane, simply put. The subject matter of the Old West (with a twist) provided the canvas. Mother nature added another element of dimension and the colors became so alive and had stories to tell. I also loved the challange of printing on a larger scale from what I typically do and designing the handmade steel frames. As I continue to travel the west, my subject matter will undoubtably increase and evolve. I imagine I will always be on the lookout for old and weathered items, it has become a part of me.
I hope you enjoy these series edition prints and continue to check back for more images. I have more available than I can ever possibly hang. and remember.........
GET ART! IT FEELS GOOD!
